I.                   Conjunction
a.       Coordinating Conjunctions
Untuk menggabungkan 2 kalimat yang secara grammer berkedudukan sama dan selalu berada di antara kata/ klausa yang dihubungkannya.
Example : and, but, or, nor, for, yet, so

b.      Subordinating Conjunctions
Untuk menggabungkan anak kalimat dengan induk kalimatnya dan biasanya berada di awal anak kalimat
Example : After, although, as because, before, how, if, once, since, than, that, though, till, until, when, where, whether, while.

Bentuk Conjunctions :
Single Form (bentuk tunggal) = And, but, because, although
Compound (Majemuk) = Provided, that, as long as, in order that
Correlative (Menghubungkan) = so … that

Example :
1.      Mother and father are going to Bali
2.      The colours that cat are white, black, and yellow
3.      She went to bed because she was sleepy
4.      He is handsome but shy
5.      As long as you’re not busy, could you go to Bali with me


II.                Expressing Willingness/ Wishes and Hope
a.       Willingness (Keinginan)
1.      Menggunakan Adjectives : Willing (Berminat)
Example :
1.      She is not willing to come back
2.      He is not willing to meet you
3.      I’m not willing to play with you
2.      Menggunakan Adverbs : Willingly (Dengan sengaja/ berminat)
Example :
1.      I wait you willingly
2.      He sing for you willingly
3.      Father pick me willingly

b.      Wish + Clause ( mengharapkan/ ingin)
Example :
1.      I wish I could help you
2.      I wish I meet you
3.      I wish I know your telephone number

c.       Hope ( Harapan)
1.      If only (Kalau saja/ seandainya)
Example :
1.      If only I met you
2.      If only I had a car
3.      If only I knew your telephone number

2.      Hope + that clause ( mengharap)
Example :
1.      I hope that you meet her
2.      I hope that we have done the exam
3.      I hope that you get much reward

3.      Subjunctive phrase ( ungkapan semoga/ doa)
Example :
1.      May God bless us
2.      May we pass in Exam


III.             Asking permission and  prohibition
a.       Asking Permission ( meminta izin)
1.      Menggunakan Nouns :  permission ( minta izin)
Example :
1.      I beg you permission to go Bali
2.      My mother gives me permission to go with you

2.      May I ( Bolehkah saya … )
Example :
1.      May I borrow your pencil ?
2.      May I go Home ?
3.      May I sit down ?

3.      Menggunakan Verbs : Permit, let, allow ( Izin, membiarkan)
Example :
1.      Allow me to meet her
2.      Allow me to pick you up
3.      My father permits me to drive his car

b.      Prohibition (Larangan)
1.      Menggunakan Verbs : Prohibit, Forbit ( melarang)
Example :
1.      Smoking is Forbidden
2.      My Father prohibits me to meet you

2.      Don’t + Verb (Jangan)
Example :
1.      Don’t go from here
2.      Don’t disturb me
3.      Don’t leave me
4.      Don’t close the door
5.      Don’t run too fast

3.      Don’t be + Adjectives ( Jangan)
Example :
1.      Don’t be late
2.      Don’t be Noisy
3.      Don’t be Lazy

4.      No + Gerund ( Dilarang)
Example :
1.      No smoking
2.      No Eating
3.      No Swimming

5.      Must not ( Tidak boleh)
Example :
1.      You must not sleep here
2.      You must not smoke here
3.      You must not come late
4.      You must not go

5.      You must not meet her
